Swallows In Flight

Swallows in Flight, Oxfordshire.

A house called the Swallows! My customer wanted to portray her house name in glass but didn’t want to use traditional painted images. Instead she was keen to have a contemporary design and use some lovely blue glasses. I was inspired by this request and designed these two panels.

I cut the sky in a rich mixture of glasses, some mouth blown some machine made but all full of movement.

The glass changes with the light as each day is different and will change with the seasons too.

These panels were encapsulated into sealed units.
