Solar Flares

This little port hole window is on a stair well and looked over my customers conservatory which they wanted to hide. The sun is a symbol that means a lot to them, but one showing the powerful sun not a cartoon twee design. The power of the sun is shown using hand made pieces of fused glass to depict the flares. The sun itself had 5 firings to get the right depth of colour and texture.

The orange and red is set off really well by the use of some strong blues.
