Seven Sisters and The Cuckmere Meanders

Seven Sisters and The Cuckmere Meanders

This was a lovely project to make as it was a commission of a gift for a special person. There had to be certain elements incorporated into the window as these have meaning to the person. Can you spot the ammonite?

The Seven Sisters https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/birling-gap-and-the-seven-sisters is a beautiful area of the South Coast and I have depicted it in summer. There is a little artistic licence in placing the Meanders https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/cuckmere-valley below the cliffs but it works so well within the composition. I have used a lot of mouth blown antique glass which is made in the same way it has been made since medieval times. I have then painted with stained glass paints and fired in the kiln.
