Anyone who knows about glass fusion will tell you about strikers! These are glasses that look one colour until they go in the kiln where at the high temperatures needed to fuse, they change. Most of the reds, oranges, yellows and purples are strikers so this roof light was so difficult to make. I had to focus 100% when making it otherwise it would have been a distorter. I had a brushed bronze frame made to house the glass and it was fitted over a stair well in a large new house in Surrey.
