Peacock Inspired Leaded Lights Ashtead, Surrey.

My customers came to me with a little sketch idea of the front door panel they wanted to create. Between us we tweaked and redesigned the window until we were totally happy with it. Then they came over to the studio and chose some really lovely rich colours.

After this first meeting and choosing the colours they decided to have 2 long thin panels either side of the porch too. I designed these based on the original ideas. I have used a hand made ruby glass for the border which has a much more subtle ruby colour than the machine made glasses.

The ‘feathers’ of the peacock have been cut in a very directional water glass to enhance the feathery feeling. The customers are very pleased with the result as it has transformed their front door.
